East West College of Management & Research Centre was founded in 1991 with the aim of providing premier education in management and business studies. The college comes under the East West Group of Institutes that was founded by Late Sri. C.M. Nagaraj in 1968. Over the course of its 28-year existence, East West College of Management has grown from strength to strength to become a one-stop destination for the most popular undergraduate and postgraduate management and finance related programmes in the country.

The college is affiliated to the Bangalore University along with a certificate of approval by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) and accreditation by National Assessment & Accreditation Council (NAAC) and National Board of Accreditation (NBA). East West College of Management offers a variety of courses in Marketing, Finance, Business Administration, Commerce, Visual Arts, Human Resources and Computer Applications.

The courses are structured in a way that the current global setup and new trends are taken into consideration to provide an up-to-date and comprehensive curricular experience. East West College of Management also has a Research and Knowledge Resource Centre (RKRC) that is tasked with organizing inter-collegiate festivals, events and workshops that expose the students to an exciting world of opportunities in event management and application of principles learned during the course. The RKRC has the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) which is in charge of conducting activities under various forums to reduce the gap between students and the industry. The forums include Commerce Forum, Computers Forum, Human Resources Forum, Finance Forum, Marketing Forum, Languages Forum, Publications Forum and Systems Forum.

As mentioned earlier, East West College of Management realizes the importance of practical application of the principles and that can only happen when the students are exposed to the industry in the best way possible. In order to so, the college organizes industrial visits and trips around the country. This not only increases the industry awareness but also develops team spirit and a sense of comradeship within the batch of students.
