The faculty at BGS Global Institute of Medical Sciences campus is spread across  acres and is led by a large team of experts. It provides a cutting-edge college with a sprawling 72-acre campus that includes a hostel. BGS Global Institute of Medical Sciences is one of the best MBBS colleges in India, with 150 admission seats available each year through the National Eligibility and Entrance Exams NEET.. Over 200 medical professionals who are experts in their fields serve as  tutors, and residents on the faculty. All of the professors and department heads have earned the M.B.B.S. degree, as well as an M.D. or M.S. in their respective fields. 13 clinical departments, 5 para-clinical divisions, and 3 pre-clinical departments are available. Each department is led by a skilled physician. There are also 380 staff nurses and over 180 non-teaching staff on hand to assist professors and students as needed.

The college as a whole (Pathology, Microbiology, and Biochemistry) is constantly striving to exceed expectations in terms of quality, service, value, and timeliness. The exhilarating experience of BGS GIMS Lab in the field of investigative medicine and diagnostic testing comes with a solid foundation on the organisation's dedicated setup.

  • College Library- A large library with seating for over 400 students, journals, and books, as well as a computer lab, internet, and sound equipment. The Central Library was established in 2012-13, with a collection of over 15000 medical books and a yearly subscription to 125 periodicals on various medical subjects. The Institution's Library's goal is to meet the needs of both students and staff by providing a welcoming environment for learning. Every working day, from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., the library is open. The library offers photocopying services. There are also separate reading rooms where students can study with their own reading material. The central library is also equipped with an e-library. A section of the Central Library. Every department has its own library.

  • Indoor and outdoor games, a gymnasium, a badminton court, and table tennis hardware are available for learners to exercise and maintain a healthy attitude at the Health Club.

  • Teaching Hospital- The academy has a well-equipped community hospital for students, with 300 beds available for first-year M.B.B.S. students. There are 120 beds in the Medical & Allied Department, which includes General Medicine, Paediatrics, TB & Chest, Dermatology, and Psychiatry; 140 beds in the Surgical & Allied Department, which includes General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Ophthalmology, and ENT; and 40 beds in Obstetrics & Gynaecology. There are a total of 20 ICU beds available, including PICU, NICU, ICU, and ICCU.

BGSGIMS RESEARCH INSTITUTE

The Research Institute's sole goal is to conduct scientific research, including research in basic biological and life sciences, as well as advanced biomedical sciences, leading to a better understanding of life processes at the cellular and molecular levels, therapies, therapeutics, and formulations. Propagation of research findings in the form of patent applications, published papers, books, and web media; creation of a multidisciplinary research environment; provision of guidance and infrastructure investments to students and research scholars from various disciplines of biological, biomedical, healthcare, and life sciences; collaboration with industry and academia. Thereby, it aims to encourage academia-industry collaborative research initiatives; to train students and academic researchers in research ethics, methodology of the study, and cutting-edge technologies in the field of biomedical research; and also to make a contribution in research studies with other establishments (national/international) with similar goals.

  • Biomedical research - to conduct high-quality research in the field of biomedical sciences and to establish a cutting-edge research facility that will allow the benefits to be disseminated to academia and industry.

Admission Procedure

The Central Board of Secondary Education conducts the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) on an all-India basis, and all seats, including NRI/Management quotas, are selected based on the rank obtained in the NEET. Karnataka Examination Authority conducts online counselling to allocate seats based on merit ( kea.kar.nic.in ).

Candidates who apply must have cleared the P.U.C (two-year) examination in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. The Karnataka Government's Common Entrance Test (C.E.T) or the Consortium of Private Medical Colleges of Karnataka's COMED-K are used to select students.

Note while applying;

  • Admission to the BGS Global Institute of Medical Sciences in Bangalore is based on the results of the K-CET or the COMED-K exam. It is a merit-based admissions process.

  • Students must thus pass the KCET (Karnataka Common Entrance Test) OR the COMED-K.

  • Qualified students should complete a registration form on the BGSGIMS website.

  • Following that, seat allocation, document verification, and fee payment will take place before final admission is granted.

Eligibility For degree

  • Higher Secondary Examination (PU/XII) or equivalent in any stream is required for admission.

  • Eligibility Criteria: Class 12 in any stream with the required cut off marks ( established by the institution from time to time).

  • Entrance examinations:  K-CET or the COMED-K 

  • Admission is granted on the basis of merit and NEET Entrance examination.

  • Students must take MDUCEE, HPCET, BVP, CET, and CUCET to be eligible. Admission is given on the basis of merit.

Eligibility for Post Graduation

  • Neet PG is a single national-level medical entrance examination for MD/ MS admission in India and postgraduate diploma courses. Entrance examinations:  K-CET or the COMED-K.

  • Graduation or its equivalent from a recognized college is required as a qualifying exam.
