Tamilnadu College of Engineering was established in the year 1984.The Institution was founded by eminent philanthropists Late Lion T.N. Palanisamy B.A., MJF and Dr.P.V. Ravi Ph.D.The College is recognized by the Government of Tamilnadu, approved by All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi and affiliated to Anna University. The National Board of Accreditation (NBA), AICTE, New Delhi accredited the courses B.E (Computer Science Engineering ), B.E (Mechanical Engineering ), B.E (Civil Engineering) and B.E (Electronics and Communication Engineering) for 3 years.

Department of Placement and Training caters for enhancing not only the employability skills of the passing out Amalites but also the overall development of their personality. The dept. organizes on campus and off campus recruitments and pre-placement training programmes through Aptitude tests, Group Discussions, Interviews and presentation skills in collaboration with the Dept. of Humanities and core departments. Mock interviews and GDs are conducted on a regular basis so as to equip final and pre-final year students to face the challenges of the recruitment scenario. Close on the heels of placement drives, the Placement Assistance Cell makes an evaluation of the performance of our students. This objective appraisal enables us to identify strengths and weaknesses of the candidates and select the strategies for improvement. This is the self financing college ,Administration is really good ,there is a lot of amenties for students .Noise free environment and it would be the best place for studies .
I had a marvellous experience here .I have enjoyed a freedom in learning .I learned a lot of things here .
Actually there is no words at all about staff .They go friendly all along 4 years and make us motivating in life .Their teaching is very good .
Placements are average here.But mostly 60% of students placed .Faculty supports a lot for that .
College infrastructure is good here ,all the class rooms , labs and library are upto date with new updates .Hostel facilities also good here .
Faculty are good and knowledgable .They also try to bring our the best from us .They teach us a lot of good things more than subjects .Best place to learn new things .
