St. Michael College of Engineering and Technology was established in the year 1998 by St. Michael Educational and Charitable Trust founded by Late Ln. Dr. V. Michael, B.E., M.I.S.T.E., Ph.D (USA). The college is approved by AICTE, New Delhi and affiliated to Anna University. The college offers a distinctly collaborative educational experience with thorough stress on practical orientation, research and industry-linkages. The educational process at SMCET aims at providing a holistic learning experience to the students.

Training & Placement Cell is the top most priority of SMCET and aims at 100 % placement. Our placement cell undertakes counseling, training and value additions to ensure that students are ready to get placed in reputed organizations. The cell maintains continuous contact with the Industry's veterans and top officials to provide the best career opportunity to the students. A full day in a week is scheduled to train the students to enrich their technical skills, soft skills, aptitude knowledge, verbal reasoning and comprehensive skills. All efforts are being taken by the Cell to develop good "Industry-Institute" relations.
Most of the students are disapointed because of placements.Apar from that college is good here.
College is good but small campus.Infrastructure is good but not upto the mark.Labs and class rooms are modern updated.
Faculty members are good.They are very disciplined and puntctuate.Their teaching methods are really nice and good.we have industry exposure.Faculty show good affection on the students.This college gives importance to academics and extra circculam activities.Academics wise very strict college.
This is the place we can learn culture,Humanity,Friendship,Team work,Adjustability kind of things .We can learn life here.Best place to study.
This college is pretty good for education.Its an good opportunity to the students to get good education.The teachers motivating to acheive the students carrier.
Eco friendly and peaceful environment every where.Vest place to study.
Academics wise iam satisfied here.But placements are only disapointment for me.
