The Government Sri Krishnarajendra Silver Jubilee Technological Institute, Bangalore, affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum, Karnataka State, was founded in the year 1938. Sir Mirza Ismail and Sir M. Visvesvaraya, the two statesmen, were responsible for the construction of this edifice as a mark of celebration of 25 years of benevolent to commemorate the Silver Jubilee of an eventful reign of Late His Highness Nalwadi Krishnarajendra Wodeyar Bahadur, Maharaja of Mysore. This institution being the first of its kind in South India with a view to provide well trained personnel for higher rungs of the organized textile industry covering various facets of the industry, is growing in its heights year after year and today it can claim to be the tallest institution and is under the control of the Department of Technical Education, Government of Karnataka. The B.Sc. (Textiles) course was commenced in the year 1946 and in 1973 the same was changed to B.Tech. (Textiles). M.Tech. (Textiles) Course was commenced in the year 1970. B.Tech. (Silk Technology) Course was commenced in the year 1991. B.Tech. (Textiles) - Evening College was commenced during 1996-97 for the benefit of Diploma holders in Textile Technology. The Institute is recognized as Ph.D., Centre for Textile Technology from the academic year 2007-08 by the Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum. From the year 2007-08 onwards the following B.E. Courses have been started: Computer Science and Engineering Electronics & Communication Engineering Civil Engineering

Normally the placements in SKSJTI commence in the beginning of the final year (Pre-final Semester) i.e. in the month of July. Prior to this, an invitation is sent to all previous recruiters in the month of May. Along with the invitation a form is provided seeking the company profile & information. After getting the willingness from the companies, they are prioritized and a schedule is prepared. The date of visit is intimated tothe companies in June. On the allotted day the company visits the campus,makes pre-placement talk, conducts tests and interviews and selects the candidates.
One of the oldest technological institutions in India,80 year old institute,until year 2008 it was offering only Bachelor of Technology in Textiles,a world famous pioneer textile institution,since last few years offering degrees in few other disciplines,situated in a beautiful heritage building,attracts everyone.Good college to study with reasonable fees.I had a great experience here.
Management is not good here.They needs to improve a lot.Placements also good in this college.College building attracts everone.Located at peaceful environment.Best place to study.
Good college.Management should focus on placements.Well equipped Labs.All the faculties should try there level best for student sake.College environment is really good here.I love this college.

Simply superb college.Infrastructure alos well maintained.Placements are better but not upto the mark.faculty are well knowledgable and experienced.They always dedicate towards students.
One of the best college with pleasent environment every where.Really good place to study.There is a lot of extra cirrucular activities to get joy and practical knowledge.I had a great experience here.
Faculty was really good.Management was government.Hence original qaulity as required in textile education is not Maintained now.Even after 30 years students are taught with 50 year old machines.These machines are irrelavant and outdated.College needs to upgrade laboratories facilities to meet the present technology.Apart from this this is the best place to study.

Its a great historical college in Bangalore.Very good college with all the facilities.All teaching and non teaching staff also best here.We carry on our life to view more knowledge and to get educated culturally and socio economically.This all been taught here for enlightment of once life other than studies also.Its very useful actually.College has good environment and good social life.Fees structure also affordable.There is soo many cultural fests conducted here.Infrastructure also very good here.
