Chennai School of Ship Management (CSSM) makes an indelible print in the field of Marine Engineering as a Maritime Education & Training Institution for over 18years, with a view to produce adequately trained manpower, catering to the demands of the shipping industry. CSSM was pioneer in commencing the Alternate Training Scheme (ATS) to have a structured intervention to produce best in class ‘Marine Engineers’. This course was implemented in India by the DGS, based on the IMO Model Course 7.04.

  • Cadet Marutikrishna and Cadet Md.Aziz-ur-Rahman (Batch-4) secured 7th rank in the seminar held by IME(I) in March 2004 among the 60 Cadets participated from 30 institutes. Cadet Maj Kumar Giri (Batch-5) was selected as the Best Engine Cadet for the Southern Region in 2005. He overwhelmed all counterparts, who took part from 20 other marine engineering college. Cadet Ritesh Henry Pascal & Cadet Johny Leishangthem secured 20th rank in the seminar organized by Meenakshi Sundaram Engineering College, Chennai in which candidates from almost 120 engineering colleges have participated.
