Ghousia College of Engineering was started in the year 1980. The College is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi and recognized by AICTE, New Delhi and Government of Karnataka. It is the No.1 Minority College in the State of Karnataka. The College is situated on an expanse of 35 acres of land, about 45 Kms from Bengaluru on the Bengaluru-Mysore Highway. The Library is housed in a separate building with a separate Issue, Reference and General Reading Room Sections with a sufficient collection of books and subscribed to the e-Journals through INDEST-AICTE Consortium. Hostel facility for about 600 students is provided in the campus with separate Hostel for Girls.The College has Excellent Sports facilities for students including gymnasium. Transportation facility is available for students coming from Bengaluru, Mandya, Channapatna& Ramanagaram. The College was awarded as “Excellent Engineering College in Karnataka - 2016” during IInd National Karnataka Education Summit & Awards by MNRE & MSME (Govt. of India), AICTE, Association of Indian Universities, CMAI, VTU, NSIC, Electronics India, niXi and NIELIT, organized by Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi The College has a Placement Centre. Several organizations have also made use of our Placement Centre. The College organizes variousprogrammes which help in improving the overall personality of students.

The Placement and Training Department headed by a senior industry experienced person Mr. Swaminathan as Head – HR & Corporate Relations. The department is having a small group of dedicated and committed staff. The department is provided with all the facilities to enable the deserving students of the Institution to get competitive placements. Reputed companies are visiting our Institute regularly. As many as 50-60 companies are visiting our Institute & inviting our college for pooled campus recruitments. About 70% of eligible students are placed in reputed companies every year. Placement Department is arranging training right from Second semester onwards in Aptitude Soft Skills & Technical Skills to enable the students to become trainable & employable candidates for campus recruitment program. Many of our students are recruited by reputed companies and are doing extremely good.

The field of my engineering was Mechanical and because this college was specially made for the technical education so one can get a great opportunity here to learn and grow in technical field.There are n number of companies comes to the campus but majority of them are IT companies because everyone is aware that Bangalore is an IT Hub.Faculty is good here,They all are Ph.D holders and some of them are well experienced.I had a great experience here.
College is good having good infrastructure,healthy environment,good atmosphere,best place for studies,research,secured many ranks in U.G,PG,good faculty of doctorates and Mtech staff in almost,all branches having fully equipped labs,library.In my point of view it is one of the best college.
This is the good college with all the facilities.Infrastructure,faculty,campus life finally placements everthing is good here.
Academics wise good college and placements also better here. Infrastructure also good .Everything avilable here with reasonable fees.I love this college.
