The National Institute of Technology Karnataka is also known as NITK, Surathkal and is one of the 30 NITs of India and is reckoned as one of the top technological universities of India.NITK Surathkal offers various undergraduate and graduate programmes in Engineering, Science and Management.
At the undergraduate level, the institute offers BTech programmes in Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical & Materials Engineering and Mining Engineering.
There are many technical and cultural clubs have been setup by NITK students which organizes activities other than academics.
Top Recruiters
Normally the placements in NITK commence in the beginning of the final year (Pre-final Semester) i.e. in the month of July. Prior to this, an invitation is sent to all previous recruiters in the month of May. Along with the invitation a form is provided seeking the company profile & information. After getting the willingness from the companies, they are prioritized and a schedule is prepared. The date of visit is intimated to the companies in June. On the allotted day the company visits the campus, makes pre-placement talk, conducts tests and interviews and selects the candidates.
It is one of indias top most colleges like others even i can also say that ia m also lucky because i got into this college,depents on my rankings were a huge no. of opportunities were waiting for my future..
The campus was really excellent ,the surrounding and the infrastructure and the n no. of teachers.
The management was really good in nit,we were proud to study in this college .the industrial visits ,research,self improving programs all helped us a lot.
The fee was very affordable for me.the college is one of the top most ,then also the management gave all the student opportunity to study those who score good marks in the entrance exam,and placement in indias topmst companies.
It gave me a really good memory during carriculam and even its coming to enjoyement part also.we got a really greenery place .
By studying here i and my friends were becoming a good path to the future our teachers were our heros because the no. of teachers and their educational qualification were so high.easily approachable teachers when ever we have any kind of doubts.
I can assure any one that those who are dreaming for really good future they can choose this college blidly.no one will have anything to say bad about it.
The campus is really big,the auditorium,n nbo. of books in the library,seminar hall with all audio and vedio vishuals,nature loving surroundings.altogether it was an amazing place for me.
24 hours wifi was available in the hostels ,our college is in developed area as well as there is so much greenary also.
