The college was established by Sri Jayaram Educational Trust in 2002 with 3 branches viz. CSE, EEE and ECE. It came under CavinKare Management in March 2010 and the name of the college has been changed from Sri Jayaram Engineering College to CK College of Engineering & Technology (CKCET) with the same code number and now the college offers 5 branches viz. Civil, CSE, EEE, ECE (2 Divisions) and Mech. (2 Divisions) in UG and Applied Electronics in PG and also MBA.

The Placement Cell of the CK College of Engineering & Technology, is functioning effectively with an intention of achieving 100% placement for the students. The Traning and Placement cell organizes coaching classes for solving the aptitude test questions, Soft Skill Enhancement Programs, conducting Model test (written & online), Group Discussion, Mock Interviews, etc through Training Expert Team. The Placement Cell is maintaining a strong database of major recruiters and building cordial relationship with all of them and interacting with industry personnel regularly. The Placement cell has up-to-date information regarding the present trends prevailing in the industry and providing periodic information to the students, regarding the expectations and the recruitment procedure of the individual industry. An MoU Is signed with VIT University, Vellore & CII Employability Bridge for the placement.
I studied here .Everything is good in this college.But placements are disapointment for me.There is no Placements we need to search for our own.Academics wise this is the best college.
Infrastructure is good here.Academics wise this college is good.Faculty are really good.They supports a lot.But placements are low here.
