About (Brief discription)

Every year, Indian Oil Corporation limited that is India's largest commercial enterprise, is awarding 2600 scholarships to meritorious students from everywhere India, under the Indian Oil Scholarships scheme. The scheme provides attractive scholarships to the brilliant first year students of Engineering, MBBS, MBA courses similarly as student of 10+/ ITI. Candidates for the scholarship are selected on 'merit-cum-means' basis. Out of the entire 2600 scholarships, 2000 scholarships for 10+/ ITI students will be on zonal basis @ Rs. 1000/- per month for 2 years. Engineering (300) and MBBS (200) students are awarded scholarships @Rs. 3000/- per month for four years, whereas MBA (100) students shall be entitled to a scholarship amount of Rs.3000/- per month for a period of 2 years. As a part of the scheme, special encouragement is being given to girl students, physically challenged students, and students from Jammu and Kashmir as well as the Northeast States. Distribution of 2000 scholarships for 10+/ITI are going to be as under and based on location of the School/ College/ Institute wherever admission has been taken : North : Delhi, Punjab, state, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh & UT of Chandigarh East : Bihar, Jharkhand, Orissa, state West : Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Goa, UT of Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu South : province, Karnataka, Kerala, province, Pondicherry North eastern States, geographic region & Islands : Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep, Minicoy, Aminidivi Islands etc. (Additional to East & South) Jammu and {kashmir|Kashmir|Cashmere|Jammu and geographic region|geographical area|geographic area|geographical region|geographic region} : Jammu and Kashmir 600 scholarships will be for students pursuing first year of Engineering, MBBS and MBA courses on zonal benefit basis. there'll be only four zones i.e. North, East, West & South for these 3 scholarships. J & K are considered in North zone, North eastern States and Sikkim are considered in East and Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep, Minicoy and Aminidivi Islands are considered in South zone for Engineering, MBBS & MBA Scholarships. The candidates applying for scholarships in these 3 professional Streams must so quote North/ East/est/outh zones only (as applicable) in their case.

Eligibility

You may be eligible for the scholarships if you meet the subsequent criteria: You should be at least fifteen years and maximum thirty years old as on 1 July, 2016. Candidates born between one July, 1986 and 1 July, 2001 (both days inclusive) are eligible to apply. However, there's a relaxation in the upper age limit by three years for OBC candidates, by five years for SC/ST candidates and ten years for Persons with Disabilities (PwDs). Pursuing full-time or regular courses within the above streams. Correspondence and distance-mode students aren't eligible Enrolled during a college, school, institution or university recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI), All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), a state education board, state government, Central Board of secondary education (CBSE), Indian Council of secondary education (ICSE), Indian school Certificate (ISC), Association of Indian Universities or the central government Undergraduate stream (MBBS/ B.Tech): you should be a first-year full-time student in degree course Management stream (MBA): you should be studying in two-year full-time or regular course in management or business administration recognized by a government, central government or Association of Indian Universities 10+/ITI stream: 11th standard student in first year of a two-year ITI course. Family income of less than rupees one 100000 (see below). Minimum marks also are needed, although these vary by stream and category. Income To be eligible for an IOCL scholarship, gross joint income of the family of the candidate from all sources during a yr mustn't exceed Rs. 1,00,000 (rupees one lakh). Preference is given to candidates with a family income of Rs. 60,000 or less.
