Kristu Jayanti College was founded in 1999 and is managed by the "Bodhi Niketan Trust," which was formed by members of the St. Joseph Province of the Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI). Bengaluru North University is affiliated with the college. The college is accredited by the UGC under categories 2(f) and 12. (B). The University Grants Commission, Government of Karnataka, and Bengaluru North University granted the college autonomous status in 2013. Kristu Jayanti College (Autonomous) has received an A++ rating from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). In the third cycle of accreditation, the college received a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 3.78 out of 4. It is the country's second highest CGPA-achieving institution and the first in Karnataka.
The majority of higher education institutions are located in Bangalore's southern and eastern outskirts. Northern Bangalore District was semi-urban and rural, with little educational and industrial development. The college was founded in the Kothanur region at K. Narayanapura. It is still an affiliated college of Bengaluru North University. Kristu Jayanti College, Bengaluru is ranked as the Best Emerging College of the Century at the National Level for Commerce, Science, and Arts in the India Today - MDRA survey 2022. The college was also ranked 5th best in BCA, 14th best in MSW, 21st best in BBA & Commerce, 23rd best in Arts, 29th best in Science, and 33rd best in Mass Communication by the survey. Among Bengaluru colleges, the College also ranked second in MSW, third in Commerce, Arts, and BCA, fourth in Science, fifth in Mass Communication, and seventh in BBA. The institution strives to fulfil its mission by developing academic excellence, fostering values, instilling civic responsibility, instilling environmental concern, and building global competencies in a dynamic environment.
Campus
The architecture of the establishment is evolving to meet the shifting requirements of the population of students. To keep up with advancements in science and technology parallel infrastructure expansion inside the shape of laboratories, libraries, as well as other educational resources including such computers, e-resources, and Wi-Fi is being introduced. The Main Block houses various departments and administrative sections. The MBA and MCA programs are housed in separate buildings. Classrooms, libraries, auditoriums, laboratories, conference halls, panel rooms, music room, gymnasium, and sports facilities are all available at the college. The library also has digital resources, such as CDs, databases, e-journals, software, and projects. There are separate rooms for group discussions, reading, and individual study. Furthermore, an e-library for e-resources has been established. The computer lab has internet access and is open after office hours to meet the computing needs of students. Wi-Fi is available throughout the campus. The Life Sciences department houses four laboratories: genetics, biochemistry, biotechnology, and microbiology.Environment Club, Commerce Club, Management Association, Tourism Club, Computer Academy, Psychology Club, Erudite Club, Journalism Club, Film Club, Photography Club, Life Science Club, Jayantian Life Science Forum, and other academic clubs and associations have been formed at the college. The Center for Social Activities (CSA) on campus was founded in 2009 as a social movement for students.
Skit, mime, one-act play, guitar, and vocal training are all available through the Literary and Cultural Association. The students' council is very important in coordinating and carrying out common college programs. The departments of the college organise intra and intercollegiate fests, and the common programs listed below keep the campus vibrant, active, and conducive to learning.

Campus: Campus life is fantastic because there aren't many restrictions in college and students are given a lot of freedom to do whatever they want, but in a subtle way. To support the college's growing reputation, there are two large libraries, three large cafeterias, a beautiful garden space, a mini-park, and excellent infrastructure. Depending on the subject, the campus provides good WiFi and well-equipped labs. At the college, there are numerous clubs to choose from in every genre, from technical to social to cultural.
Clubs: Among the clubs were the electronics club, maths club, commerce club, and journalism club. Aside from these, the NSS and NCC were the most active clubs. Mostly, a slew of fantastic organisations were at work behind the scenes. It is truly a creative group in which students' talents can be developed. Women empowerment, anti-ragging, and extracurricular committees were all deemed beneficial.
Hostel: KJC Bangalore provides students with hostel facilities that include all necessary amenities. There are four types of rooms in the hostel: four occupancy, three occupancy, two occupancy, and single occupancy, with varying fees. Jayantian Services
In the institution, the Entrepreneurship Development Cell organises various Entrepreneurship Awareness Camps, Entrepreneurship Development Programs, and Skill Development Programs. The cell works with a variety of outside organisations and facilitates interactions with entrepreneurs. The EDC mentors aspiring Jayantian entrepreneurs. In collaboration with the Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India, Ahmedabad, EDC has launched a number of training programs.The EDC offers several diploma and certificate programs, including an Open Learning Programme, a Diploma in Entrepreneurship Development, HP-sponsored Graduate Entrepreneurship Training in Information Technology, and a Certificate Course in Entrepreneurship Development. The cell also works with the National Entrepreneurship Network (NEN).
The National Service Scheme (NSS) is a social work organisation affiliated with Bangalore University. Under 3 KAR Bn, the college has an NCC Army wing. Students enrol for a three-year period. On a regular basis, NCC activities such as parades, camps, outings for map reading, trekking, weapon training, drills, adventure camps, social service, environmental protection, awareness programs, and so on are organised.

Fundamental Eligibility
A pass in the Qualifying Examination: Higher Secondary Examination [PU / XII] or its equivalent with the required cut-off marks (as determined by the educational establishment from time to time).
