CBSE has declared the JEE Main result 2017 for Paper 2 along with the Score and All India Rank (AIR) of candidates.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) had conducted JEE Main 2017 on April 2 (offline) and April 8 & 9 (online). JEE Main 2017 is the largest undergraduate engineering entrance test in the country for admissions to the UG engineering/ architecture courses at the NITs, IIITs and GFTIs. A total of 11,86,454 candidates had applied for Paper I examination.
The result and JEE main cutoff had been declared and the candidates could know if they are amongst the 2,20,000 top candidates of JEE Main who would be eligible to appear for JEE Advanced. JEE Main 2017 result for paper 1 was announced on April 27.
The JEE Main Official Answer Key 2017 was available from April 18 along with the recorded responses of the candidates. This year, Class XII marks were not considered while computing the JEE Main ranks. However, as per the new eligibility criteria, candidates required a minimum of 75% in their Class XII (65% for SC/ST) or be in the top 20 percentile of their states to be eligible for the admissions to NITs, GFTIs and the IIITs which are participating in the common counselling through JoSAA. The Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) has announced a special round for the vacant seats in NITs, IIITs & GFTIs.
