B.Com Integrated with Aviation Management

B.Com (integrated with Aviation management) is a 3-year undergraduate degree programme under commerce stream. It is a slightly varied version of regular B. Com course; a niche B. Com course in aviation and airport industry. For those of you who don’t know what B. Com course is, here’s a brief explanation about it.

B.Com aka Bachelor of Commerce, as the very title suggests, is a UG commerce course aiming to provide a solid foundation in commerce concepts like accountancy, statistics, finance, etc. All the more it’s the primary focus is on commerce subjects, it gives a fair priority to management and business administration subjects (like human resource management, marketing, etc.) as well. More often than not, commerce and management go hand in hand and are interdependent.

Now, let’s stick onto our topic. Like I’ve already said B. Com Aviation is a niche UG course in aviation. You may ask, why a niche course is required at all while the generic commerce and management principles can be applied to all industries. “Necessity is the mother of all invention” would be the simplest answer to this question. Duration and Examination:

Com aviation is a 3-years course. Each year is split into two semesters and thus six semesters in 3 years. Besides end semester exams, Internal assessment tests are conducted once in a month or thrice in a semester whose scores are considered in the evaluation of overall semester performance.

Students failed to pass all the subjects in any semester are allowed to re-take the examination in the next semester along with six other subjects. Although students failing to graduate within three years are allowed to appear for supplementary exams, there is a seven-year of time limit to complete the course.

Eligibility and Admission Procedures for BCom Aviation Colleges in Bangalore:

• 10+2 or PUC (or equivalent) pass with a minimum of 50%. Please note that the pass percentage mentioned above is the only eligibility criteria and that most colleges set their own cut-off marks.
• Upon submission of the application form, you’ll be informed whether or not you’re shortlisted for further selection rounds.
