Spread across a massive 295.35 acres of campus National Institute Of Technology has every facility you can think of, from amazing classrooms having the modern educational equipment to a library and even a swimming pool (How amazing is that). National Institute Of Technology or NIT as they say it is more of a residential institute with separate hostel facilities for girls and boys. Founded by Late Sri. B.M Sreenivasaiah in the year 1946, BMS College of Engineering is the first private engineering college in India. The college which started with just 3 undergraduate courses now has more than 13 undergraduate and 16 postgraduate courses related to engineering. From the academic year 2008-09, all the undergraduate courses provided by the college has been granted an autonomous status by the Government.
The campus of BMSCE is spread across 15 Acres in Bangalore. The word “The” in the title of the name explains a lot about the reputation of the college and if not, I’ll do it for you (Too many The’s in the statement, please bear with it). NIE was founded by three of splendid engineers of their times, Sri S.Ramaswamy, Sri D.V.Narasimha Rao and Sri T.Rama Rao in the year 1946. It’s the second Engineering college founded in the state and first in Mysore and has been accredited by NBA.
The amenities provided by college includes but not limited to libraries, separate hostels for girls and boys, Bank Facility and Health Care. Apart from these NIE also provides its students with various social as well as intellectual activities to help students figure out their potential. The college has a woman act where they have a committee against sexual harassment which makes it a safer place especially for girls to pursue their courses.

University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering:
University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering aka UVCE was established in the year 1917 by Bharat Ratna Sir. M. Visvesvaraya himself with a vision to To help students achieve their career objectives through training in soft and technical skills and exposure to the corporate environment. They focus not only on maximum placements but also on the diversity and variety of companies from all sectors of industries… UVCE was the fifth college to be established in the country. The college is affiliated to Bangalore University and is being funded by World Bank under TEQIP project.
University Visvesvaraya College of Engineering can easily be ranked as one of the best engineering colleges in Karnataka. The University offers around 7 Undergraduate and 24 Postgraduate courses. One of the ways to get into the college is to write Common Entrance Test conducted by KEA (Karnataka Examination Authority).

Siddaganga Institute Of Technology run by Sri Siddaganga Educational Society was established in the year 1963. It was affiliated to VTU but became autonomous during the academic year 2010-11. The institute has been accredited by NBA. Spread over 65 acres of area in Tumkur, the campus has a huge playground and eight hostels that can accommodate around 2000 students.
