Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Sociology is a 3-year undergraduate programme that is split up into 6 semesters. The candidate is expected to complete the course in 3 years’ time but is allotted a maximum of 4-6 years to clear all pending subjects. The maximum time frame differs from university to university.
BA in Sociology Eligibility Criteria
- Candidate must have passed 10+2 or any equivalent examination from a recognized board or university.
- The candidate can be from any stream – Science, Commerce or Arts & Humanities.
- The minimum cut-off is 50% (45% for reserved categories such as SC/ST/OBCs)
- While the admissions are conducted on the basis of merit, a handful of them conducts an entrance exam which is followed by a personal interview round.
