Great Wall Of China – Best MBBS Colleges in China

MBBS in China:

The Great Wall of China? Forget about the architectural wonder. The Great MBBS of China is the hot new attraction these days!

Indian students are giving India a pass to pursue their medical studies in the country also known as the Red Dragon. But what’s the reason behind the change of preference? There are many if you get down to counting them down.

The fee is cheaper in comparison, the programme is more comprehensive in nature and there are countless additional benefits which are usually not available in India.

As we all know, becoming a doctor is a matter of prestige, that requires years of sustained patience, dedication, and exemplary scholarly wisdom. An aspiring doctor faces many challenges en route to attaining his or her goal and it’s the same story everywhere.

However, doesn’t it sound alluring to complete your MBBS in a foreign country? It surely does and you would agree once you complete reading this article.

Why do an MBBS from China?

Apart from Russia, Ukraine, the Philippines, Poland, and Georgia; China has been one of the best destinations to complete a full-fledged course to become a doctor. Among all the aforementioned countries, China is the undisputed leader. Given below are the reasons why it so:

  • The large community of Indians
  • High-quality coursework conducted in English. Mandarin is also taught to students in the initial years that help them adapt to the country quickly
  • Highly experienced faculty and teaching staff
  • Medical institutes in Chine are recognized by all the prominent medical statutory and regulatory bodies and council from around the world such as WHO, Medical Council of India (MCI), UMED, FAIMER, etc.
  • Low living costs
  • No need to clear IELTS/ TOEFL
  • Affordable course fee, lower than private Indian medical colleges
  • Large population enables a greater need for doctors which increases the job scope after the course
  • Incredible infrastructural standards and facilities
  • The systematic education system that helps in the holistic development
  • Hospitable and king locals
  • No need to pay ‘donation fees’ or any sort of bribe. Transparent direct admissions were done with minimum eligibility requirements
  • Comfortable hostel services with easy access to Indian food as well
  • Candidates can choose from 45 top-rated varsities that have been listed by MCI as the English-offering MBBS courses in China
  • Easily available loans and scholarships
  • Some Chinese medical universities even provide free accidental injury and hospitalization insurance on a yearly basis

Enticing, isn’t it? While I think you may be familiar with China, there’s no harm in knowing a little more before you make a decision of migrating to the country to study.

Know more about China:

When it comes to superpowers, China is one of the most powerful among those select few countries. Economically, China is the second biggest nation in the world with a nominal GDP that has touched a mind-boggling 9.2 Trillion US Dollars. China is only second to the United States in terms of its economic prowess and diplomatic power.

It’s the biggest trading country in the world with astonishing export figures. In terms of population, China has been the unchallenged leader for decades, despite India being destined to take over the top the spot in the coming years. Nonetheless, the massive 1.4 billion population means there is an ample number of jobs in a multitude of sectors that need manpower. From the capital Beijing to the prefecture-level Lijiang; there are many opportunities in China to keep yourself gratified.

The climate is favourable for Indians as the weather is pretty similar. The topography of the country is diverse and complex, thus, the weather differs from region to region. There are dry summers, wet monsoons, and extremely cold winters as well. The average temperature in Beijing is 27 centigrade, while it also goes below zero degree Celsius during the winters.

Now coming to the controversial side of China – it’s political structure and constitutional nature. China is a communist country which has always attracted criticism for being perpetrators of ‘modern slavery’.

Extensive regulations and censorship laws by the government on the media and flow of information have been a problem for many years. Facebook, Twitter, and most popular global giants are all banned in the country. The government though has provided the Chinese citizens with self-controlled alternatives. While there are ways to bypass the restrictions and blocks, the fact that there is such strict monitoring doesn’t bode well with students who want social media freedom.

However, that shouldn’t be a problem as Chinese leaders aren’t tyrants! They provide everyone with many options to thrive in every area of life, which makes it an ideal place for students who wish to pursue their medical studies.

Many fresh MBBS grads also choose to migrate to other parts of the world, namely, the United States, Canada, and Australia and get highly attractive medical jobs.

China, too, offers an extremely appealing medical industry to be a part of. The humungous population itself should be a fair indicator that the country needs doctors and it doesn’t matter where they come from.

In short, doctor’s enjoy a protected career which is blessed with growth, prosperity and immense job satisfaction. India, though, continues to be the most ideal destination to work. The healthcare sector is worth trillions of rupees that is being taken to the next level, all thanks to large amounts of Foreign Direct Investments (FDI), innovative government-driven schemes, and the establishment of chains of hospitals and medical facilities.

India needs doctors. It’s an important demand that needs to be met.

Doctors can work in hospitals, however, if that doesn’t draw your attention, the option to set up your own private clinic is always a great option.

You may know this, but young graduates just can’t survive in the highly competitive healthcare industry by having a mere MBBS degree.

Having a Post graduation degree is a must in the current day and age. Thus, MBBS pass outs are encouraged to pursue a post graduation degree in a specific medical discipline.

You can choose from two major streams – medicine (Doctor of Medicine -MD) or surgery (Master of Surgery – MS).

Some of the noteworthy specializations have been listed below:
