MBBS in Poland Duration:

Polish universities offer the Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) course which is equivalent to the MBBS course in India.

M.D. in India is a post-graduate programme, however, in Poland, it is a bachelor’s level degree that is of the same value as an Indian MBBS. We will be referring to it as MBBS for the purpose of this article.

The MBBS course in Poland is 5 years long with an additional year for an internship at an affiliated hospital along with clinical postings and rotations.

When compared to the course in India, MBBS in Poland is longer in duration and slightly more extensive as the focus on clinical rotations makes for more proficient doctors.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Candidate must be at least 17 years old at the time of admissions
  • Must have passed 10+2 from the Science stream
  • Should have scored a minimum aggregate score of 50% with compulsory subject combination Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB) along with English
  • For reserved category candidates, the cut-off is set at 40% along with the aforementioned science subjects and English
  • National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) clearance is mandatory
  • General Category students need to score at least 119 marks out of the sum total of 720
  • Reserved category students need to get at least 96 marks out of 720
  • As per the National Test Agency (NAT), having the NEET qualification is a must in order to study MBBS abroad
